1964 brought quite a few new faces to NHS, which included mine, and through those faces new relationships developed, which included mine and Laura's. Neither of us was looking for a relationship, and that's probably why ours began. We were very young, just 16, so our time together was always an adventure. We called it quits on the night of her crowning as All-Sports Queen. During the ceremony Southers and I sneaked out to his car and drank a beer each that he had confiscated from his dad's stash. Back a the banquet she asked where I'd been and I fessed up. That was it. Laura or beer and boys. I wasn't a drinker so I subbed cars for beer, and cars & boys won out. Laura was a wonderful person to know, and I cherish the time we had together, and through that relationship with Laura I met someone very special.
I man for all seasons, very smart and athletic. My favorite memory was when a bunch of us as seniors were hanging around the student center before class and a sophomore none of us knew came up and challenged me to a drag race. He had a new Chevelle with a 396 engine and I had my GTO. Zill, said lets meet at Atkins Hill after school and I'll start you. Zill had that Harley. He set us off and went back and jumped on his Harley and passed us after about 300 yards. Typical Zill maneuver. He'll be greatly missed.

Happy Birthday girlfriend. I think you live in The City, so if you're ever in Norman, give us a call, 405-822-7747. The picture of you on your profile only shows the top half of your face. I think I'm retired, but I can't be sure. My entire family live here in Norman, wife(1), kid's(2), and grandkid's(4). Love to see you and talk about everything we can remember from University School until recently.
Rick, I was wondering the other day about little league baseball and who were my teammates at Rotary Park. I know Ricky Greason(sp) played a year or two. Maybe Danny Simmons. Fleener, Haddock, or Timmy McKenna never played. Did you play and if so who else played. I don't think we were ever very good.
Happy Birthday Margaret. Hope all is well with you and your family. We've been stuck at home for 4 weeks w/o seeing the 4 grandkids who live around the corner. That hurts the most.

Happy Birthday old friend. Thinking about you brings back a lot good memories of our youth. Hope all is well. I remember when Austin was like a large village, and you could get around town w/o much trouble.
