Love to travel and used to do a lot more of it.
Have taken up Zip lining. First did it on the slopes of the (dormant) volcano on Maui in a rain forest. Wow!

School Story:

Too many to tell here---but some good ones like when we locked Mrs. Wiest in her supply closet
(for no more than five minutes) or when Ansel Young (rack) hid around a corner and then tripped the leader of a group of us guys who regularly blasted out of Mrs. Robinson's english class on a dead run for lunch. As soon as the first guy went down a serious chain reaction started and probably a dozen guys ended up on the floor.

I will join those wishing my friend an early Happy Birthday. Jimbo, you have always been one of the Golden Boys from our NHS class. I have watched, in admiration, all of the things which you have tackled in your lifetime. Your drive to excel is second to none. Consequently, I am going to predict that you will be the longest lived member of our graduating class.
Best wishes on your Birthday tomorrow and I can’t wait to see you again.

Happy Birthday to a guy who still looks forty something. I am a day late (and a dollar short) as is often the case, but I hope that you enjoyed the beautiful fall day that the good lord gave you for the big 71.

What do you get when you mix superlative intelligence with well above average athletic skills? You get a guy who has played on the highest levels in sports and in life since he graduated from NHS—Steve Ayers. Happy birthday, old friend!

This was news that really hurt. John and I went back to West Junior High together. We had many adventure. He was always large for his age and on two different occasions when I was out with him he got challenged about being too old. Once when we were trick or treating as 8th graders (and a homeowner accused him of being in high school) and once when he tried to buy a child’s ticket at the Sooner theater to see a movie. We were close friends throughout  high school. We had speech  class together and participated in a number of Mrs. Ritzman’s productions. He also went to several speech tournaments with me and did well. He was quite  a learned source for me regarding rock and roll bands and rock music and he played in several local ones.

I remember wishing for years that he would come back to one of the NHS reunions, and finally—there he was (at the 50th I think). We visited a lot but he never told me much, if anything, about his Air Force career. Since my dad had Beene USAF  force pilot and flight instructor, I would have been thrilled to have heard about John’s experiences. My parents both liked John immensely. My mother spoke of him for years. Life is too fleeting. Johnny, we hardly knew ye. Rest In Peace, big guy!

Hi to you too Brent. It was grand to get to see you this last summer at our 70th celebration.
Some of our class are still getting along nicely and you, like Jim and Greg Taber (for example) are vanguards of the "can [still] do" attitudes which make our class and our school so special. Your birthday is almost here, as well, so the very best of wishes to you and I will look forward to our next event so that we can spend a little more time remembering your musical legacy.

Wishing a very happy birthday to a guy who has always had a natural flair for style and class and who has been a genuine friend to me and countless others in the NHS alumni.
Hope the best for you on your birthday and throughout the year, Jim.

Oh! Donna, Oh! Donna. Happy Birthday to a shining light in the class of ‘66. You are getting spring sunshine. How appropriate.

For the second year in a row, I am wishing you a very happy birthday (although knowing you, I am not sure that you even check this site--too busy getting into mischief, I bet).
Hope it's happy!
