Bob Waters

Robert Franklin Waters, 40 of Oklahoma City, a member of the Norman High School class of 1966, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 1988, as a result of an accident.

He was born Jan. 19, 1948 in Washington, D.C., grew up in Norman and had been a resident of Oklahoma City for about five years. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the Combined Action Program.

He received a bachelor's degree in anthropology in 1973 and a law degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1976. He was a city attorney for the City of Moore as well as engaging in a private law practice in Oklahoma City.

Additionally, he was a member of the Unitarian Church and played on the OU Rugby Football Club for 15 years.

Survivors included his wife, Dr. Renee Ann Alonso of the home; and two children, Adam Emerson Waters and Kelsey Genevieve Waters both of the home. He also was survived by his mother, Elizabeth Waters of Norman; his grandmother, Edna Anderson of Maryland; three brothers, Stephen Waters of California, James Waters of Ohio and Ronald Waters of Norman; and three sisters, Ann Owen of Florida and Joyce LeFlore and Sharon Waters, both of Norman.
