OK, first it was the virus that we'll probably still have in 2021.

Then, worst of all, no toilet paper.

And, at least in my opinion, the most distasteful election year in my lifetime.  Hey, I disowned my own sister over it.

But, and most interesting, we've had no, as in zero, class deaths so far this year?

Well, spoke too soon,  We lost Stan Melton at the last moment.

Stan was a great friend and neighbor.  I don't know if I ever told him that I took his boxer, Rennie, with me on my morning paper route many times.

And, what a surprise when I was a cop for a couple of years after the Air Force.  I had a call of a disturbance and it happened to be the address of a school girlfriend's parents.  When I got there, who did I find, Stan and his wife.  They, evidently, were renting the house from my old girlfriend's parents and that girlfriend's brother, I believe his name was Gerald, had gotten stoned and given Stan and his wife a hard time.
