Perry Wilson

Perry Wilson, 69, of Norman, a member of the Norman High class of 1966, passed away May 6, 2018.

He was born Sept. 6, 1948, to Lois and Opal Wilson in Oklahoma City. After serving in the military in 1970, he began his 3 1/2 year career as an Oklahoma City police officer, during which he spent 25 years in the Metropolitan Library system as security.

He attended Oklahoma City Southwestern College and graduated with an associate degree in criminal justice.

Perry served as a trustee and usher at Harvest Church for over 25 years.

He left behind many friends and loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Selma Wilson; three children: Matthew Wilson and wife, Susan; Katrina Moulton and husband, Todd; and Clint Wilson and wife, Marti. Also nine grandchildren, Ethan, Evan and Eli Moulton, Jaiden and Kayson Wilson, Savanna and Hugh Hightower, Tyson and Tia Cooper; a brother, Terry Wilson and wife, Paula; and numerous other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Paula Detjen.  

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, May 12, at Harvest Church, 6450 36th Ave NW, in Norman. Interment to follow at Noble IOOF Cemetery in Noble. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore.
