Janie Harmening Autry

Janie Harmening Autry, 58, a member of the Norman High School class of 1966, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006.

Janie was born July 19, 1947, to Royce Harmening and Elizabeth Aliene Whittle in Clarksville, Texas. Her family said she was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching. Her favorite thing to do was make Christmas ornaments.

She was preceded in death by her father; stepfather Hubert Phelps; a brother Bobby Harmening and two infant children.

Survivors include two sons, Doug Autry and Todd Autry and his wife Gayla; four grandchildren, Marcus, Jacklyn, Amber and Rebecca; mother, Aliene Phelps; sister, Carolyn Walden and her husband Fred; niece Jessica Crook; and two nephews, G.T. Harmening and Tonny Walden.
