Leslie Paul Gregory

Leslie Paul Gregory, a member of the Norman High School class of 1966, passed from this life on March 30, 2019, in Sulphur, Okla.

Leslie was born in Tulsa, Okla., to Raymond Paul and Velma Marie (Fraley) Gregory on July 26, 1947. He graduated from Norman High in 1966, then married his high school sweetheart, Linda (Rhodes) Gregory.

Shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and was deployed to Vietnam, where he stayed until the 1970s. When Leslie came back to the states, he and Linda moved to California. They stayed there for over a year, then moved to Altus, Okla., where they remained for almost a decade before moving to Maryland

They settled down in Norman in 1983. After the Air Force, Leslie worked in the cafeteria at Norman High, then at Joseph Hart Prison. Eventually he began doing home health with ALS patients. In recent years, Leslie spent more time enjoying fishing, hunting, cooking and gambling at casinos.

Left to cherish his memory is Leslie’s wife, Linda Gregory; their children, Michael Dwayne Gregory and Leslie Paul Gregory Jr.; and his wife Earline Gregory. His grandchildren: Stephanie Jones and her husband Jimmy Jones, Amanda Dill and her husband Guymen Dill, Samantha Atkinson and her husband Damian Atkison, and Brittany Gregory. His great grandchildren: Lucy, Abby Jo, Kathlynn Vestle, Kayleigh Dill, Makayla Dill, Kilei Dill, Nevah. His sister Susan and her husband Jerry Ackerman. As well as many other beloved family and friends.

Leslie is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Leonard Gregory.
