Elizabeth Donovan Blair 12/31/1947 - 12/31/2008

Elizabeth Donovan Blair was born in Champaign, Illinois on December 31, 1947, and peacefully passed away on her 61st birthday while surrounded by family and loved ones. Elizabeth was a graduate of Norman High School and attended the University of Oklahoma, where she studied fashion illustration and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Elizabeth married the late Michael Allen Elder, and together they raised four children. Elizabeth returned to school to study law and received her Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University in 1992. Elizabeth also found time to devote to her community, volunteering with the Junior League of Oklahoma City and serving as a past President of Ballet Oklahoma. Elizabeth was a creative and talented woman with a passion for design, the law, and her community. While Elizabeth had many talents and interests, her most cherished roles were those she played in her own family, as a daughter, sister, aunt, loving mother and grandmother. Preceding Elizabeth in death are her brother, Lance CPL USMC, W. W. Blair Jr., and her father, W. W. Blair. Elizabeth is survived by her mother, Jean D. Blair her son Michael Blair Elder and his wife Ashley Waul Elder and their children, Jacob, Andrew, and Abigail her son David Allen Elder and his wife Adrienne Ballew Elder and their son, James her son James Robert Elder and his wife Elizabeth Billipp Elder and her daughter Elizabeth Anne Elder Graves and her husband Dr. Jeffery Justin Graves. Elizabeth is also survived by her brothers, J. David Blair and Robert G. Blair, and her sisters, Patricia Jane Bender, Margaret Ann Blair, and Mary Alice Blair. Elizabeth left her friends and family with a lifetime of memories and will be dearly missed.
